Kocha Mpya Wa Taifa Stars The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) announces Adel Amrouche (58) as the head coach of the national team, Taifa Stars. Coach Amrouche, a Belgian citizen of Algerian origin, has extensive experience with African football after coaching clubs and national teams in the South, East, Central and North regions. He has been the Best East African Coach in 2013 when he led Kenya Harambee Stars to the Cecafa Challenge championship and before that he reached the semi-finals twice with Burundi. With Harambee Stars he set a record of playing 20 games without losing.Coach Amrouche has also coached the national teams of Equatorial Guinea, Botswana, Libya and Yemen at different times. Leading DC Motema Pembe enabled it to do well in the Champions League and Confederations Cup having won the DR Congo and DRC Super Cup twice.
Another experience for the club, he has coached RC Kouba, USM Alger, where he used to play and MC Algiers, all of Algeria. In addition, Coach Adel is a Pro License teacher trainer of the European Football Federation (Uefa) producing many of the best coaches in Africa and has extensive experience in youth football, a job he did for more than 10 years in Algeria and Belgium. Coach Amrouche, who speaks Arabic, French, English and Kiswahili, has, at different times, been the Technical and Sports Director in Belgian and Ukrainian clubs.
A coach with a Uefa Pro License and a Master’s degree in studying people and fitness (Masters in Ergonomics in Physical Activity), Amrouche has also been doing coaching work for the African Football Confederation (CAF) in producing soccer teachers. Throughout his contract, Amrouche will be paid a salary by the Government.
