Job Description

Coca – Cola Kwanza has an exciting vacancy of Sales Capability Manager at Dar es Salaam Plant. This is a position reports directly to the Sales & Market Execution Director, to support business growth and execution scores through training and people development initiatives through analysis of opportunities in sales execution and coaching and developing the skills required to achieve and continuously improve our execution excellence in the market.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

Driving Execution Exellence

Provides input into periodic and timely training need analysis – as per the business requirements.

Works with the RSM, ODM, HRM to develop and drive the implementation of the Capability Development Plan

Improves the Sales skills index through effective on the job and classroom based coaching and development.

Tracks and monitors management time in trade coaching Account Managers, Sales Reps, Merchandisers and Field Marketers.

Implements and monitors performance in terms of Sales Force Effectiveness metrics (Red, SFE, etc.) and adapts and develops training solutions to address related capability gaps identified.

Develops key account and route to market capability in the region.

Updates and co-ordinates RED/Co-operate on Red outlet audits.

Tracks RED action plans and reporting for the region.

Devises and implements Initiatives on staff motivation/skill building for sales employees.

Identify or develop and deliver and maintain training programs or solutions required to address individual and organisational needs.

Executing Capability Development


Trains employees and intermediaries as per the Training calendar.

Provides ‘On the Job’ Training as per plan.

Utilise tools and instruments to measure the levels of knowledge and skills and ensures consistent and accurate tracking and reporting of the same within the L&D tracker.

Provides required data in specified format for L&D reporting.

Ensures effective maintenance of Regional training records as they relate to sales development and co-ordination of training interventions with HR.

Ensures timeous RE on L&D spend and tracks spend in predefined L&D Plan.

Manage costs of planned programs within budget

Evaluate quality of Learning and Development through disciplined execution of ROI and other evaluation methodologies

Ensure compliance to statutory training requirements

Develop Competency Based L&D Solutions


Designs and develops customized training modules and training solutions to suit the specific and generic needs of the sales force, using appropriate sales data and statistics to identify needs

Design and develop learning materials in support of learning and development activities

Ensure continuous improvement of existing material

Co-develop effective induction programs for sales force

Qualifications and Experience


Relevant degree in Sales and Marketing or Education and Training

Minimum 3 Years of relevant experience in Sales and Marketing

At least two years’ experience in a coaching or facilitation / training role

Qualified Facilitator or Sales and Marketing Qualification

Approximately 3-4 years Sales and Marketing experience, preferably within a training or management capacity

We are looking for a talented individual with relevant skills and experience in Special Event & Activation Manager position to be based in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will report to the respective Trade Marketing Manager.


Key Duties & Responsibilities


Develop winning special events and promotions strategy.

Develop partnerships with key special events stakeholders.

Build brand awareness and drive recruitment through special events and promotions.

Primary liaison with Trade Marketing Teams, Sales Teams and special events stakeholders for development of special events and promotions activities to tap into any consumer gathering opportunities

Develop and maintain an annual, quarterly and monthly calendar of special events/promotions by channel and region.

Develop and maintain an annual, quarterly and monthly calendar of current and potential sponsorship events by region.

Lead negotiation, coordination and management of agreements and relationships with key events managers.

Support execution of effective and efficient winning promotional activities in line with guidelines.

Plan field visits to understand the improvement areas across the regions and monitor trade environment and competitors

 Lead a team to optimally pay attention to special events and promotions activities and also support participation in current/planned sponsored events.

Develop and coach the special events and promotions team. Reviews performance and conducts monthly one-on- ones.

Provides Administration and project management of specific projects as requested.

Embrace and execute total beverage portfolio in the region.


Skills, Experience & Education


A track record of delivering results in a Sales role that focused on building capability • Experience in multiple-region experience will be an advantage

A business related degree from a recognized university and relevant Marketing professional qualifications.

4 years job experience, at least 3 years of Marketing in an FMCG industry. Some General Business Management experience would be desirable.

Proven track record of driving Innovative business improvements by identifying & providing clarity around initiatives that deliver differentiated value to the company.

 Good analytical skills with sound understanding of business concepts; (E.g. Margins / discounts / Pack mix Trends / Volume Variance Analysis)

Experience must cover budget management, marketing planning and portfolio marketing mix management.

 Sound leadership skills with the ability to anticipate talent needs and help to recruit, develop, retain and reward team members as well as leveraging on individual differences to motivate others and create organizational impact.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Duties & Responsibilities


The key responsibilities of the incumbent will be to control chart of accounts and general ledgers to ensure adherence to International Accounting and Financial Reporting Standards, company policies and procedures; responsible for month end and year end closing including ensuring timely, accurate and complete posting of transactions in the general ledger together with appropriate supporting documentation; preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting and forecasting package including balance sheet variance analysis; oversee accounts payable section to ensure full compliance with tax laws and collaborate with Treasury Accountant to manage payment plans; coordinate internal and external audits to ensure documents are provided and queries resolved timely; provide support to the finance leadership team as may be required.


Skills, Experience & Education


The applicant should have at least a degree in Account & Finance or any other related field, CA (SA) / CIMA , 3 – 5 years of Financial Accountant experience, experience in managing policies and the chart of accounts , SAP FI (or similar) experience, strong knowledge on statutory requirements, excellent verbal / analytical reasoning ability, foster and cultivate business opportunities and partnerships, exceptional accounting and reporting skills and attention to detail
